Biographie de la conférencière

Liz is a proud Hardoil, born and raised in Petrolia Ontario and since 2006 she has had the privilege of serving her community as a Town Councillor. Actively involved on municipal committees from waste management to the arts and heritage, she enjoys every aspect of Petrolia's operations. It’s an exciting and dynamic process aligning our strategic and financial plans with community values and priorities for the road ahead. As a champion for Asset Management in my community I was thrilled to complete the Professional Certificate in Asset Management through NAMS Canada. Liz credits the teamwork of amazing Councillors, staff and community volunteers that make Petrolia the greatest town on earth.
You’ll be Surprised!

Résumé de conférence

This presentation will highlight how Petrolia went from siloed municipal departments to an aligned asset management team and Petrolia’s participation in FCM’s Asset Management programs including the NAMS Professional Certificate in Asset Management course and MAMP. The presentation will also briefly demonstrate how Petrolia’s unique long-term financial plan is updated regularly, integrated with our annual budget process and used for debt, grant and reserve strategic planning that facilitates priority setting and includes both operating and capital plans.
